The Unified Medical Language System, UMLS for short, is an attempt to universally codify medical concepts by bridging lingual and divisional gaps in the medical field. The UMLS is made up of a few different databases, but it is the connections and references between them that make them useful.
We’ve taken common medical concepts within the UMLS and created for them a glyph representation.
